Vorwort
Im Duo, Trio, Quartett oder im Quintett zu spielen, ist ein besonderes Vergnügen.
Jeder spielt seine Stimme, hört zur gleichen Zeit alle anderen Instrumente,
passt sich ein und erst zusammen klingt die Musik so, wie sie komponiert wurde.
Auch für die Zuhörer ist es leichter, die Musik als Ganzes und gleichzeitig die
Linien einzelner Instrumente zu verfolgen. Meist ist die Kammermusik „durchsichtig“,
harmonisch klar, rhythmisch und melodisch aber vielfältig. Sie fordert von jedem
Mitwirkenden saubere Intonation, spieltechnische Sicherheit, um sich auf das
„Einstimmen“ in den Gesamtklang konzentrieren zu können.
Die Quartettminiaturen sind technisch leicht.

Folgende Besetzungen sind möglich:
A 2 Trompeten, Horn, Posaune
B 2 Flügelhörner, Horn, Bariton/Euphonium oder kleine Tuba
C 2 Trompeten, 2 Posaunen

Quartet Miniatures Five easy mouvements for brass instruments To play in a
duet, trio, quartet or quintet is a special pleasure. Everyone plays his own part,
listens at the same time to all the other instruments and fits into the ensemble.
Together the music sounds as it was composed. For the listener it is also easier
to follow the music and the lines of the particular instruments simultaneously and
as a whole. Most of the time chamber music is “transparent”, harmonically clear
but many-sided in rhythm and melody. Clear intonation and a secure technique
is required from all the players to concentrate on integrating the complete sound.

The Quartet Miniatures are technically easy. The following ensembles are possible:
A 2 trumpets, French horn, trombone
B 2 flugelhorns, French horn, euphonium or small tuba
C 2 trumpets, 2 trombones

The following parts are included:
Part 1 in B flat and C (bass clef),
Part 2 in B flat and C (bass clef),
Part 3 in F, Part 3 in C (bass clef),
Part 4 in C (bass clef), Part 4 in B (treble clef)
